Let Your Light Shine

This Sunday, the Orthodox Church commemorates the Holy Fathers of the Fourth Ecumenical Council, whose faithful witness preserved the truth of the Orthodox Faith. Christ calls us not merely to possess His light, but to be His light through our words, actions, and daily witness.

This Week's Reflection

Fr. Michael reminds us that God's Divine Light shines throughout the universe and asks whether we are beacons leading others to Christ. Rather than becoming consumed by worldly pursuits, we are called to become lighthouses of the faith through compassion, prayer, and unwavering witness.

Epistle: Titus 3:8–15

Gospel: Matthew 5:14–19

Jesus calls us to let our light shine before others, while St. Paul encourages us to devote ourselves to good works, hospitality, and lives that bear fruit for Christ.

Living the Gospel This Week

Jesus calls us to shine, and St. Paul shows us how. When we serve others with love, practice hospitality, avoid division, and faithfully use the gifts God has given us, we become living witnesses to the Light of the World.
